Description

Easy Apple Pie Egg Rolls with a crispy shell and sweet cinnamon-apple filling.


Ingredients

  • 3 Medium Apples; peeled, cored, and diced small
  • 3 tsp Cane Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ Lemon, juiced
  • 12 Egg Roll Wrappers
  • As needed Oil, for frying
  • Optional: Powdered Sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Peeled, cored, and diced the apples into small, uniform pieces. Toss with cane sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Lay a wrapper flat in a diamond shape. Place about 2 tablespoons of the apple mixture in the center.
  3. Fold the bottom corner up over the filling. Fold the side corners in to create an envelope shape. Roll tightly away from you and seal with water.
  4. Heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry 3-4 egg rolls for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place egg rolls seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Brush or spray tops with oil. Bake for 10-15 minutes until browned.
  6. Dust warm egg rolls with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
