Instructions
- Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup softened butter with ¾ cup sugar. Beat on medium speed for about 3 minutes.
- Incorporate the Eggs One at a Time: Add the two large eggs one at a time, beating until fully incorporated.
- Mash and Add the Bananas: Peel and mash the three ripe bananas. Add to the mixture along with ⅓ cup milk and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
- Mix the Dry Ingredients Separately: In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and ½ teaspoon kosher salt.
- Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture in two or three additions, mixing gently.
- Fold in the Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in ¾ cup chocolate chips. Sprinkle extra on top if desired.
- Transfer Batter to Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and tap lightly on the counter.
- Bake Until Golden and Set: Bake for 55–65 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool Before Serving: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
