Brown Butter Cinnamon Crinkle Cookies are crackly on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of caramel and spice. They are perfect for any occasion.

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 0.75 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir constantly until it foams, then turns golden brown with a nutty aroma, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the browned butter (including browned bits), brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until glossy and fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough into 1.5 tablespoon balls and roll each in powdered sugar generously.
- Place on baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until crinkled on top and lightly golden at edges.
- Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
