Warm pita pockets stuffed with melty cheesy beef and mushrooms, served with fresh homemade tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups mushrooms (chopped)
- 1 onion (diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
- 1 cup cheese (shredded)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 0.5 cup grated cucumber (squeezed dry)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp dill (chopped)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 0 salt and pepper (to taste)
- 4 pita pockets
Instructions
- Mix all tzatziki ingredients in a bowl and chill.
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
- Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
- Stir in ground beef, breaking it apart until browned.
- Season with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer until liquid evaporates, then stir in shredded cheese.
- Warm pita pockets.
- Stuff pitas with beef and mushroom filling.
- Add tzatziki sauce and garnish with herbs.
