Instructions
- Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain and mash with butter and warm milk until smooth. Stir in shredded cheese, season, and keep warm.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a skillet, cook in butter or oil over medium heat until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Sprinkle in flour and cook briefly. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk until thickened.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon garlic gravy over the top. Simmer briefly.
- Serve chicken and garlic gravy generously over cheesy mashed potatoes.
