  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for filling)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with 2 tablespoons flour, granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Spread into the baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix 3/4 cup flour, oats, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  6. Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
