These Homemade Chocolate Truffles are rich, smooth, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
Ingredients

- 8 oz (225g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Powdered sugar
- Chopped nuts
- Shredded coconut
- Melted chocolate
Instructions
- Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Heat heavy cream and butter in a small saucepan until just beginning to simmer.
- Pour hot cream over the chocolate. Let sit for 2 minutes.
- Stir gently until smooth and glossy.
- Mix in vanilla extract and salt.
- Cover and refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
- Scoop small portions and roll into balls using your hands.
- Roll truffles in desired coatings.
- Store refrigerated until ready to serve.
