Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1–2 tbsp cornstarch or flour (optional, for a light coating)
- 2–3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free option)
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter, for sautéing
- Red pepper flakes or hot sauce (for spicy kick)
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Chopped fresh parsley or sliced green onions
- Stir-fried bell peppers or broccoli (vegetable boost)
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts or thighs into bite-sized pieces. Season lightly with salt and pepper, then toss in cornstarch or flour if you want a light crispy coating.
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté minced fresh garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in honey and soy sauce, letting the sauce simmer and thicken slightly for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the cooked chicken bites to the pan and toss to coat thoroughly with the honey garlic sauce. Heat through for another minute to meld the flavors.
Notes
