Description

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (full fat preferred)
  • Olive oil or melted butter, for cooking and brushing
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and stir with a wooden spoon until the dough begins to come together into a soft mass.
  2. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 3-5 minutes until it becomes smooth and slightly elastic.
  3. Divide the dough into five equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten each ball into roughly 1/4-inch thick circles.
  4. Heat a dry skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat until very hot. Place one naan flat on the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until bubbles form and the bread has dark brown spots.
  5. Remove the naan from the pan and immediately brush with melted butter or olive oil. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
