Description
This simple 3 Ingredient Naan Bread recipe uses no yeast and comes together quickly with just flour, Greek yogurt, and baking powder.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (full fat preferred)
- Olive oil or melted butter, for cooking and brushing
- Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and stir with a wooden spoon until the dough begins to come together into a soft mass.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 3-5 minutes until it becomes smooth and slightly elastic.
- Divide the dough into five equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten each ball into roughly 1/4-inch thick circles.
- Heat a dry skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat until very hot. Place one naan flat on the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until bubbles form and the bread has dark brown spots.
- Remove the naan from the pan and immediately brush with melted butter or olive oil. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Serve with your favorite curries or dips.
- Ready in under 30 minutes.
- For best flavor, serve warm.
