Irresistible High Altitude Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies are chewy with a crackled sugar top and a chocolate kiss center.

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (plus extra for rolling)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 24 Hershey’s Kisses (unwrapped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add peanut butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll each in granulated sugar.
- Place balls 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set and tops are cracked.
- Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
