Ingredients

  • 4 black tea bags or 4 tsp loose leaf black tea
  • 1 large orange (zest and juice)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anises (optional)
  • Honey or sugar (for sweetening)
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a saucepan.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add tea bags, cinnamon sticks, orange zest, and star anises (if using). Cover and steep for 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Juice the orange while the tea is steeping.
  4. Strain the tea into a pitcher and stir in the orange juice. Sweeten to taste with honey or sugar.
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature before refrigerating until chilled.
