- 4 black tea bags or 4 tsp loose leaf black tea
- 1 large orange (zest and juice)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anises (optional)
- Honey or sugar (for sweetening)
- Ice cubes
- Orange slices (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil the water in a saucepan.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add tea bags, cinnamon sticks, orange zest, and star anises (if using). Cover and steep for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Juice the orange while the tea is steeping.
- Strain the tea into a pitcher and stir in the orange juice. Sweeten to taste with honey or sugar.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature before refrigerating until chilled.
- Serve over ice in glasses garnished with orange slices and cinnamon sticks.
