- 1½ teaspoons orange zest
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, kosher salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
- Mix Sugar and Orange Zest: In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar with orange zest until fragrant.
- Incorporate Eggs: Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add Oil and Vanilla: Pour in olive oil and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Incorporate Half of the Dry Ingredients: Gradually add half of the dry mixture, mixing until nearly combined.
- Add Sour Cream: Fold in sour cream until just incorporated.
- Add Remaining Dry Ingredients: Add the rest of the flour mixture, folding until combined.
- Mix in Orange Juice and Poppy Seeds: Add orange juice and poppy seeds, folding gently.
- Pour Batter Into Pan: Spoon batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake the Bread: Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the Pan: Let it cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes.
- Transfer to Wire Rack: Remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Prepare the Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, Greek yogurt, orange juice, orange zest, and kosher salt until smooth.
- Apply the Glaze: Pour the glaze over the cooled loaf and let it set for 30–45 minutes.
- Slice and Serve: Slice the bread into 10 pieces and serve.
