- 1/4 cup Butter (Melted)
- 1.5–2 cups Jalapeno Pimento Cheese (Or traditional pimento cheese)
- 1 cup Sour Cream (Greek yogurt can substitute)
- 1/2 cup Chicken Broth (Vegetable broth for vegetarian option)
- 1/4 cup Green Onions (Chopped)
- to taste Salt
- to taste Coarse Ground Black Pepper (Freshly ground recommended)
- 1/2 cup Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine frozen shredded hash browns with melted butter, folding gently to coat.
- Add jalapeno pimento cheese, sour cream, and chicken broth to the potato mixture. Include chopped green onions, salt, and pepper, stirring until creamy.
- Pour the mixture into the casserole dish and spread evenly. If desired, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 35 minutes until edges are bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
