Ingredients
- Classic sugar cookie dough – 1 cup (prepared or homemade, softened)
- Cream cheese – 4 ounces (softened)
- Powdered sugar – 1 cup
- Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
- White chocolate or candy melts – 8 ounces (for coating)
- Sprinkles or colored sugar – optional, for decorating
Instructions
- Soften store-bought dough to room temperature or ensure homemade sugar cookie dough is chilled but pliable.
- Combine softened sugar cookie dough, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
- Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, portion even-sized balls and roll into smooth shapes. Place on a parchment-lined tray and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Gently melt white chocolate or candy melts, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Using a fork, fully coat each chilled truffle in the melted coating. Tap off excess chocolate and place back on parchment paper. Add sprinkles if desired.
- Allow truffles to cool and harden completely before serving or packaging.
