- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup melted butter (for topping)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Drain the canned yams and mash them in a large bowl.
- Add brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, eggs, and milk. Mix until smooth.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping over the yam mixture.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbling at the edges.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
